Sadna Samaranayake is the Chief Strategy Officer for BRAC Global. She brings two decades of experience in leadership and consulting positions in international development, in roles that have spanned strategic planning, fundraising and business development, partnership engagement, programme design, and the provision of technical assistance to government clients.

Prior to joining BRAC, Sadna was a senior consultant with the Partnership for Economic Inclusion at the World Bank where her work focused on developing PEI’s partnership engagement strategy, and advancing PEI governance mechanisms and resource mobilization efforts. Previously, Sadna was the founding Director of BRAC’s Ultra Poor Graduation Initiative, where she led delivery of technical assistance, program design, implementation support, and knowledge products for several government, multilateral and NGO clients on BRAC’s Ultra Poor Graduation approach. Sadna started her career as a tech sector entrepreneur, co-founding and managing a web applications development firm in the US.

Sadna graduated with a masters from New York University, and lives in London with her husband and two sons.
