Patrick Oger
QSE Group chair at IOM/ICRC
With a background in Mechanical Engineering from Toulouse University in France, I started in 1988 as a Vehicle Fleet Manager for MSF in Sudan and Malawi, until 1992 when I joined MSF Logistics in France as a Procurement officer and Product Manager for the MSF group for 6 years. I moved to Nairobi/Kenya in 1998 as Head of Regional Supply for MSF.
In 2001, I joined ICRC and IFRC in Geneva as Project Manager to establish the Standard Products Catalogue for the Red Cross Movement. Since 2021 I concentrate on sustainability in Supply Chain, with several products’ development, the latest being the Eco-Design Tarpaulin. During that long period with the Red Cross, jointly with UNHCR we created the QSE working group, now also including MSF, UNICEF, IOM, and USAID. The aim is and has always been to provide the best possible assistance to people in need.
