Henrique Pacini

Economic Affairs Officer at UNCTAD

Henrique Pacini leads the Sustainable Manufacturing and Environmental Pollution Programme at the UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD). He brings about extensive experience in research on trade, energy and materials systems, and has experience in both the public and private sectors. Dr. Pacini also researches trade-related aspects of the circular economy, especially in developing countries. He has a degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (FEARP-USP), including exchange studies at Eberhard Karls Tuebingen Universität, Germany. He also holds a master’s degree in European Studies from Hochschule Bremen (Germany), a Ph.D in Energy Policy from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, and Post Doc in Trade and Circular Economy from Harvard University.
