Gian is a Senior Advisor on RE at South Pole, with over 10 years of experience in climate finance and Renewable Energy, with a focus on Energy Attribute Certificates (EAC) and energy access. His expertise in energy attribute markets has contributed to strategy advisory mandates to leading exponents from the global energy market (Unitilities, Investors), private corporations (from the Fortune500 companies from ICT, FMCG and the financial industry) as well as public organisations (DFIs, NGOs, UN-bodies). Gian has lead the development of the D REC market instrument, a novel certificate based solution to finance the acceleration of the energy transition in the developing economies.
