Emma joined UNICEF in 2008 and has held multiple posts in Supply and Logistics in Somalia, Zimbabwe and Afghanistan Country Offices. She was also part of the In-Country Logistics Team in Supply Division from 2012-16. 

In her current role, she leads the coordination of supply chain emergency preparedness and response at UNICEF and in the last 2 years has deployed multiple times to Ukraine, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria. 

Prior to joining UNICEF, she was a supply chain researcher with the South African Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). 

Emma has a Masters of Commerce (Logistics Management) from Stellenbosch University where she also completed her Bachelor’s and Honours studies.
