Anita Raman
Senior Sustainability Advisor at International Rescue Committee
Anita Raman is the first Senior Sustainability Advisor for Net-Zero Climate Action at the International Rescue Committee, where she is driving IRC’s inaugural supply chain climate strategy and implementation plan to facilitate innovative, sustainable, and climate-adaptive delivery in support of client resilience. With over 15 years of experience in climate policy, research, and project management, Anita has a proven track record of driving and delivering impactful and inclusive solutions. As a former Cornell University research faculty member, she directed US climate jobs roadmaps that led to multi-million-dollar state investments in high-quality, equitable climate jobs. As one of 20 national leaders chosen for the 2022 Public Voices on the Climate Crisis program, Anita has written editorials on just climate policies that have been published across US national news outlets. Her roles managing Global South climate partnerships and projects at UNDP and the UN Secretariat, operationalizing a hurricane recovery program, and facilitating bilateral science and technology exchanges, among others – have provided her with a robust understanding of global needs and pathways needed to address the climate crisis. Anita holds a master’s in Climate and Society from Columbia University.
