Albashir Adan Ibrahim
Executive Director at Organization for Sustainable Development Africa (OSDA)
Albashir Adan Ibrahim is an international development professional with over 13 years of experience in humanitarian and development work. He currently serves as the Executive Director for the Organization for Sustainable Development Africa (OSDA), a youth-led local non-governmental organization that operates in Northern Kenya. OSDA is responsible for convening and hosting the Kenya Humanitarian and Resilience Network (KHRN), a locally led network that advocates for aid localization, triple nexus programming, climate action, and capacity strengthening of national and local organizations.
Before joining OSDA, Albashir worked for 3.5 years with Nexus Consortium Somalia, a locally led consortium in Somalia. He has a wide range of experience in fundraising, institutional development, anticipatory emergency response, research, and peacebuilding in both Somalia and Kenya. Albashir has also actively participated in various initiatives and panel discussions on anticipatory action, triple nexus programming, passporting of the due diligence process, and aid localization, among other topics.
